We are thrilled to share with you that we’ve won the prestigious 2022 ARTS award in our category: Outdoor Living.

This is our 6th time winning the ARTS award in this category and we are so honored by this peer-nominated recognition for our continuing commitment to company-wide excellence and innovation.

WHAT IS ART?

ART was originally short for A.ccessory R.esources T.eam but the organization’s tagline is now *The Creative Home Furnishings Network.*

ART members are leaders in the home furnishings industry, encompassing manufacturers, importers, retailers, sales representatives, product designers, interior designers, and industry support professionals.

Their #ARTSawards, held in partnership with Dallas Market Center, recognizes business excellence in several categories and encompasses preeminent manufacturers, retailers, interior designers, product designers, and sales representatives.

See the link to their website at the end of this post to learn more.

ART is a network of home decor professionals representing all stakeholders in the furniture, lighting, home decor and interior design industries. Their annual ARTSawards are like the Oscars of the home furnishings industry.

The #ARTSawards are produced by Sharon Davis, the long-time executive director of ART, and her committee of volunteers.

Here’s a photo of Sharon at this year’s #ARTSawards ceremony, looking stunning.

How the Winners Are Chosen

Out of the nominations in each #ARTSawards category [which can be submitted by anyone during the nomination period ] comes the announcement of the list of finalists. Then comes the difficult and lengthy task of judging each finalist’s submission to choose the winners.

The judges have a daunting task as some of the submissions from each finalist are extensive. The lengthy submissions required from each finalist are meant to give the judges a 360 view of every aspect of each finalists’ business, from product to marketing to corporate ethics, etc.

We are grateful to this year’s volunteer judges, shown hard at work in the image below:

Susan Inglis, Executive Director of the Sustainable Furnishings Council and founder of From The Mountain, Caroline Biggs, Market Editor at Business of Home, Cheminne Taylor-Smith, principal of Cheminne.com, Connie Post, Chief Executive Officer of Affordable Design Solutions by Connie Post, David Landis, principal of David Landis Design, Inc., and Sandy Hughes, partner and chief creative officer at Steelyard.

The judges for the 32nd annual ARTS awards are shown busy at work, hunched over their computer monitors, evaluating the entries from the finalists.

Behind The Scenes At This Year’s #ARTSawards Ceremony

Often called the *Oscars* of the home furnishings industry, this black-tie gala event has a breathtakingly beautiful production value that continues to astound everyone who attends each year.

Below is an image of the stage this year, before the guests were seated.

The stage set up for the 32nd annual ARTS awards, held at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas in January 2022.

Here’s a .30 video showing a panoramic 360 sweep of the stage and all the guests in the Chantilly Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole, where this year’s #ARTSawards were held.

As the attendees dined on a 5-star meal, the presenters took to the stage to start announcing the awards. It was an exciting moment, near the end of the #ARTSawards ceremony when emcees Thom Filicia and Carson Kressley announced us as the winner of the Outdoor Living category!

Watch the .43 second video below to see the moment it happened.

We had asked Leslie Carothers, CEO of Savour Partnership, who was co-principal in our magazine’s Virtual Designer Showhouse, and who is the co-editor of Seasonal Living Magazine, to accept the award on our behalf.

Here’s her 1 minute 30-second acceptance speech.

We were also thrilled to see our long-time Naples, FL-based customer, Clive Daniel Home, take home an ARTS award for Best Overall Showroom, Multi Locations.

We invite you to follow them on Instagram via the link at the end of this post.

Here’s a stunning project their design team completed for a client, showcasing a dining table and bench from our PERPETUAL collection, made with reclaimed teak and natural concrete.

Seasonal Living CEO, Gary Pettitt, congratulates his customer, Clive Daniel Home, on their #ARTS award, too, for Best Overall Showroom, Multi - Locations.

Speaking of our furniture for a moment…. we carry many handcrafted collections of modern indoor | outdoor furniture and decorative accents, all stocked in our Dallas area warehouse ready for global shipping.

Seasonal Living utilizes many different types of materials in its indoor | outdoor collections.

For the ARTS award nomination process, however, we were required to submit just one piece of furniture to be considered by the nominating committee.

We chose our best-selling TRANQUILITY 40″ round cocktail table, part of our Provenance Signature Collection designed for us by internationally recognized, award-winning interior designer/builder Laura Muller, principal of Four Point Design Build in Los Angeles.

Seasonal Living chose a cocktail table from the Provenance Signature Collection, designed by Laura Muller, to submit to the nominating committee of the ARTS Awards, for consideration.

Choosing just one piece from this 42 piece collection to submit was difficult for us, as all of the items from the Provenance Signature Collection could have been submitted.

It Takes A Team

Winning the prestigious ARTS award is a product of the efforts of many people. The product submission counts for high marks in the judges’ score, another part of the score relates to our marketing efforts, and other parts of the final score relate to other components of our business.

For the marketing component, we’d like to thank the team at Savour Partnership. They’ve handled our outbound marketing within the consumer and designer distribution channels for the past 6 years.

They created two digital magazines for us – relating to our marketing efforts – to submit with our application.

Seasonal Living CEO, Gary Pettitt, thanks the team at Savour Partnership, Leslie Carothers and Sam Henderson for their work on Seasonal Living's outbound marketing and Seasonal Living Magazine, for the past 6 years.

Another huge part of our success lies with the outstanding efforts of our outside sales representatives, who are the ones responsible, day in and day out, for the success we have enjoyed for the past 18 years. Thank you, all of you.

Seasonal Living CEO, Gary Pettitt, thanks the many outside sales representatives that sell the Seasonal Living line of modern indoor | outdoor furniture in residential and hospitality markets around the world.

Next, we’d like to thank our many other external partners with whom we collaborate. We appreciate all of your work on our behalf, especially Peter King, who for many years has been responsible for our website and website maintenance.

Lastly, we’d like to thank the entire internal team at Seasonal Living from our warehouse employees, to our customer service employees, to our operational executives, who support our efforts to bring you the finest in modern indoor | outdoor furniture and decorative accents on a daily basis.

Thank you, one and all, for helping us bring home our 6th #ARTSawards. This award belongs to each of you, too, and we hope you’re as proud of it as we are.
