Can the Atlantis Pool Chaise remain in a swimming pool for extended periods of time?
- We have been testing this product in a pool for over a year and it has held up pretty well
- Here’s what we have learned in over 12 months of testing; you have to watch your chemicals. As you know, pools are regularly tested. What we found was that if the pool is highly alkaline, you can have some limescale build up on the aluminum metal base.
- The scale can be periodically removed
- The aluminum frame is zinc coated and powder coated so it is suitable for in pool use, but it is just like everything else, it requires some maintenance and requires watching your pool chems
- That’s about it, I have really enjoyed this in the pool, it’s comfortable and provides just enough connecting with the water to refresh you without being extremely out of the water
- We have not noticed any significant change in the PE rattan
- We have only periodically removed the chaises from the pool (perhaps 2-3 times in the year) to remove some of the limescale which is quite heavy in Texas, but like a swimming pool, a reputable pool cleaning company will be watching for limescale build up and using chemicals to treat and manage the pool
- The PE synthetic rattan is a beautiful, soft warm grey
- The neck pillow is suitable for full outdoor use, obviously, the more you have it protected when not in use, the better it appears
