ERIN FETHERSTON’S NEW YORK CITY LOFT
We were so excited when we recently found out that fashion and interior designer Erin Fetherston chose our NEPTUNE chair and ottoman from our EXPLORER – OCEANS collection for her stunning 3 story New York City loft in Tribeca.
Erin recently completed a total gut re-do and transformation of this home, undertaken while pregnant and living in her California home on the opposite coast.
Erin’s goal was to turn her New York City Tribeca loft into a sanctuary for she, her husband Gabe Saporta, their son, and soon to be born second child.
Here’s Erin, about to open the refrigerator in her new kitchen, outfitted with GE’s CAFE collection appliances.
Erin wanted to infuse her home with a calm, modern, glamorous sensibility, that reflects where she’s at in her life and career now versus where she was in her life and career when she first decorated it with a combination of antiques and vintage finds from Paris.
Because she was doing it all long distance, Erin decided to rely on a variety of e-commerce retailers for the furnishings for her home. One of those retailers was Wayfair’s luxury brand, Perigold.

A gut renovation like this, managed long distance, isn’t easy, but that’s what a talented interior designer with vision like Erin has is capable of doing, and she pulled it off flawlessly.
When you’re renovating, you have to be prepared for how you are going to handle the mess, because it gets messy, very messy, before it gets better!
You can see how the *mess* produced anxiety for Erin by reading the caption on her 2nd photo, but, soon enough the mess was gone and Erin was well on her way to having the clean, wide, smooth expanse of white wall she desired.
