We have a new line at Seasonal Living, our JOY PERPETUAL COLLECTION, that we can’t wait to share. After months of product development, we have finally arrived at a result that is simple and chic. The new line is part of our existing PERPETUAL COLLECTION, but with a subtle, very sophisticated twist.
ALL THAT GLITTERS
The new JOY COLLECTION features hand-applied gold lacquer in just the right amounts and just the right places. Our signature lightweight concrete in slate gray and ivory white has long been a best-seller at Seasonal Living. This new element adds a level of sophistication that is understated but speaks volumes about the owner’s style.
There is something about a touch of gold that says “something special is happening here”. In the right dosage, gold is used to elevate things from simple to sublime. We see it in architectural accents, the perfect earrings to set off an outfit, or even a simple gold band around the neck of a perfume bottle. There is a warmth that comes from the glow of gold that only it can produce, from a shimmering ribbon on a gift box to the brief moments at dusk when all you see is covered in a golden veil. Pairing these two materials together provides a sleek, modern style with a touch of class.
HOW IS IT MADE?
Many hours go into the production of each piece in the new JOY COLLECTION. First, lightweight concrete bases must be created. This alone is an arduous process that requires several steps and hours of work and refinement. After the bases are sealed, the pieces are prepared for their lacquered elements. The lacquer is hand-applied for hours… twice. The result is a product that is unique, stunning, and durable enough to be used indoors or outdoors. BETTER TOGETHER
Our intent with the new JOY COLLECTION was not to create a completely new grouping, but rather to offer companion pieces to the already existing PERPETUAL COLLECTION. Together, the pieces have just the right modern sensibility with a bit of glam. The new items will come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The gold lacquer elements will also vary from item to item. You might choose one side table with a simple gold band around the bottom paired with a scalloped table with the sides completely lacquered in gold. This mix-and-match approach provides a multitude of opportunities to showcase your design style… even more so when combined with the other PERPETUAL COLLECTION items.
