We have exciting news to share with you! Our CLIP indoor outdoor concrete dining table was selected by High Point Market Stylespotter, Nancy Fire, as one of her top picks for Spring 2020!
For those of you not familiar with High Point Market’s Stylespotter program, here’s a brief overview:
High Point Market is the USA’s largest wholesale furniture market. It’s held twice a year in High Point, North Carolina.
Every year, interior designers and design influencers from all over the world apply to be a #HPMKT Stylespotter. There are only 8 spots available and the competition is intense!
Once they are chosen by the team that High Point Marketing Authority assembles to make that decision, they have year long responsibility to spot the new and emerging product trends – from the thousands of exhibitors that show at High Point Market. The official hashtag is #hpmktSS.
The Stylespotter’s choices, and the Stylespotters themselves, are promoted widely via High Point Market’s website and social channels and throughout the national design media.
For our CLIP indoor outdoor concrete table to be selected by Nancy, who is also HGTV Home’s Design Director and the co-founder and Creative Director of Dream Works International in NYC, is such a morale boost to our team right now!
Nancy, if you see this: we sincerely thank you!
Our CLIP concrete indoor/outdoor dining table is sustainably produced without any synthetic ingredients, which is one reason Nancy gave for choosing it, as you can see here in her statement about it. The raw materials used are portland cement, crushed granite, the natural fiber plant, ramie, and clean, spring fed water.
A note on the natural plant fiber, ramie, which has been used for civilizations dating back to the Pharoahs. It is used as a binder in our concrete tables, taking the place of the synthetic ingredients often found in other tables like resins, fiberglass, and glass reinforced concrete. .
In addition, the concrete surface of CLIP is hand finished and natural waxes are applied to give texture to its surface that is close to an almost Venetian plaster like appearance, allowing for beautiful variations in shading and tone.
Please note: variations in shading and tone are part of the beauty of CLIP’s surface. If you are ordering more than one piece from our PERPETUAL concrete collection, of which CLIP is a part, and need to have the finishes be close as possible in shading and tone to each other, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to work with you.
CLIP comes in two sizes, 118″ x 38″W and 87″ x 38″ W.
The bases on our CLIP tables are reclaimed teak, and many other pieces in our PERPETUAL collection also use this combination.
Our MAGIC cube is a popular choice as an accent table or additional seating where the CLIP is being used.
As you saw in the first image, we had our CLIP set up with tableware we purchased from ETU Home’s beautiful collection. Etu Home manufacturers their line using salvaged hardwoods from Europe and is a brand whose valued are in alignment with our own.
Their collection of glass coches are perfect for keeping your food pest free during indoor/outdoor entertaining season.
Some of you may remember that Mom and Instagram influencer Cara Loren chose another one of our concrete tables and other Seasonal Living items for her home last year.
We wrote this post about HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CONCRETE TABLES, so that Cara would know exactly how to care for her new table, and hope you will take some time to read it now so you, too, will know exactly how to care for our natural concrete surfaces.
Given that High Point Market was cancelled this Spring, for the first time in 50 years, we are especially appreciative to have been chosen by Nancy for this honor, and invite you to shop for our CLIP dining table and all of our other indoor outdoor furniture, lighting and decorative accessories using the retailer locator tool on our site, here, or via your local interior designer, architect, or landscape architect.
And in case you are in the market for a beautiful area rug to go with our concrete tables, Nancy produces a beautiful line of area rugs for Nourison, one of which is shown below.
Which color of CLIP do you like better on it? The ivory or slate grey?
